Privacy & Policies

A plain-language overview of how confidentiality, telehealth, and office policies work at Magnolia Mental Health.

Confidentiality

What you share in therapy is protected by law (HIPAA) and professional ethics. Information is not disclosed without your written consent, except in narrow legal situations such as imminent risk of serious harm to yourself or others, suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, or a court order. These limits are reviewed with you at the start of care.

Telehealth

Online sessions are conducted over a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. You are responsible for finding a private, quiet location for sessions and for ensuring you are physically located in a state where Kinsey is licensed (Utah or Idaho) at the time of each session.

Fees & payment

Individual sessions are $140 and due at the time of service. Kinsey is an out-of-network provider and can supply a superbill for possible insurance reimbursement. Major credit cards, HSA, cash, and checks are accepted, and bishop/clergy assistance is welcome.

Cancellations

Please provide at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule. Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, and missed sessions, are charged the full fee.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of services. A Good Faith Estimate is available on request before scheduling.
